To love, to share. To learn from one another. To remind ourselves children are amazing gifts, beautiful amanah from Allah.

For every moment photographed, love is spread.

Alhamdulillah, for a chance waking up to beautiful little people, spoiling us with their big, big LOVE.

These are visual stories of our children. One week at a time. In shaa Allah.

Poor little darling feeling not so well today....

| Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that."

Do it fast. Do it slow. Do it how ever you want it. But do it your way.

Izlynne

Texture (noun)
the feel, appearance, or consistency of a surface or a substance

Behold, my son!
Throughout your journey of life, you may encounter humans with different kinds of 'texture' - but do not ever judge them by that. Just be careful. Be nice to everyone eventhough sometimes, humans might not be that nice towards us - but still be nice.

Be nice though your heart might be aching. By being nice, you could have ease someone's life.

week 32 | NEGATIVE SPACE (2 - 8 August)

Milin Kassim

Just like negative space will draw your eyes to what is significant - positive space - in a photograph, the negativity that (could) surround your life eventually will draw your heart to what is pure and bring positivity in you, in shaa Allah.
Love, Mommy.

There are always two sides of a coin. You can either be happy or sad. You can either be hateful or be beautiful. You can either be liked or be disliked. You can either be rude or polite.

Always a two-side.

You can never be the middle. You would always have to choose side(s).
So choose wisely. Throw away all your negativities into the negative space and bury them there.
Being positive does not kill you.

Week 31 - SHADOW (26 July - 1 August)

We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think.
When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

Kau jalan,
Kau lari,
Kau pergi,
Kau terbang setinggi manapun satu hari nanti,
Jangan lupa,
Khabarkan ke aku tentang dirimu,
Jangan lupa,
Titipkan nama kami dalam setiap doamu,
Jangan lupa,
Selitkan sedikit ingatan dan bayang kami dalam imaginasimu,

Jangan lupa.

Izlynne

You might just be a shadow, but be the shadow who stands out.

only as far as you seek can you go
only as deep as you look can you see
only as much as you dream can you be.

Week 30 | RAINBOW (19-25)

Someone said, "Friendship is a rainbow between two hearts sharing 7 colours: secrets, truth, sadness, faith,
happiness, respect & love"

And for you two I think we should add two more colours. Whimsy + fun (loads of them). Don't you think love?

Perhaps more :)

Pelangi. Bulan. Bintang. Itu kamu. Nak jadi matahari pun boleh :-)

Min Mohd

Izlynne

Do you know that you are like a rainbow? You do not only have seven colours - but thousands of them. Do you know how you can drive ibu crazy sometimes? But, you can be that pretty sweet little wrapped-lollipop too?

But, do you know that these multiple colours of personality that you have help me go through each day?

That's you - my rainbow. My sweet little funny rainbow. Why? Because if anyone ever asked, "How can rainbow be funny?" I know you are capable of answering them,
"Just look at me!"

Week 29 | THE BLESSED DAY (12-18)

1 Syawal 1436H | Salam Aidilfitri all the way from Sungai Petani. One epic selfie with Opah please❤️

Zubye Rusli

Milin Kassim

What a beautiful day.  A day of syukur. A day of blessing.  A day of celebration. And also a day of mixed feelings - of happiness and sadness. To greet this blessed day and to leave the blessed month of Ramadhan.

'We end Ramadhan in a state of gratitude to Allah (swt). Allah (swt) says:

“[…] to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which he has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful,” (Qur’an 2:185).

We thank Allah (swt) for all that He has given us during this month. He blessed us to be among those who worshiped Him and He gave us the health and ability to fast, to pray, and to increase in our good deeds. We thank Him for giving us the opportunity to grow and come closer to Him. We thank Him for the innumerable gifts – the ones we often forget because we are accustomed to their presence in our lives.'

Week 28 | A NIGHT IN RAMADHAN (5-11)

Siang terasa panjang, malam bagaikan singkat. Tidak sempat menanggalkan baju melayu kamu, pulang dari surau, begitu penat lalu terus kamu tertidur. Kepenatan yang berbaloi, tidak mengapa sayang. Manisnya nanti kamu kan dapat di hari kemudian.

21 days.. Masyaallah, tabarakallah, you are doing great so far my son. Alhamdulillah.

26th Ramadhan | Less than 24 hours to balik kampung. Hati dah sampai rumah Opah.

Milin Kassim

Do you wanna hear the story mommy?

Absolutely dear, and silently I pray;

O Allah, bless Kakak and Adik with the love for Quran, ameen.

"The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. .." ~ Quran (2:185)

Izlynne

I am thankful for each Ramadhan. Alhamdulillah - but,Ramadhan reminds me of someone very dear to me and she is no longer around.

I pray that I am given the opportunity to see you again, Ramadhan, so that I can be with the people I love.

In shaa Allah.

"Forget me not, forget me not
 My petals, they are blue
 You'll remember me, you'll see
 And I'll remember you"
- Forget Me Not

How you heartily played and sang the song for your grandparents that evening. All because of the durians they brought from Rembau to Bangi as desserts after iftar. With such a passionate performance despite the simplicity of the melody as well as the lyrics, daddy and I would like to assure that they will forget you not, Khalish :'D

Week 27 | A MEMORY (28 June - 4 July)

Izlynne

In the future, when I would no longer be around, whenever you look at this photo, keep in your memory that I took this photo out of my endless love for you.

Always.

You were the last grandchild he got to meet, the dearest one to him. Just after his funeral I found out that he kept a photo of you in his wallet and a couple more in one of his journals. I had no idea that he kept journals.  I remember reading beautiful things he wrote about me and I am absolutely sure he only hoped the best for you. It was on that day that I locked myself in the room and cried a good two hours of my life.

It kinda broke my heart when you once said to me that you've forgotten how his voice sounded like because it has been too long. But then you would warm my heart with sudden remarks whenever you remember little things about him. Like when you were 9, we were at the Hallmark and you pulled out this supercool birthday card which says "For my grandson" and said, "Mommy, if Wan was still here today, am sure he'd buy this card for me."

You were not even 3 when he left us. There are days where I would wish so hard that he'd still be here today and see what an amazing boy you've become. I wish harder that you'd be at least half the man he was, always sincere, humble, loving and kind to others. Above all, I wish the hardest that one day we would all be reunited with him in the highest Jannah.

Remember to always sedekah Al Fatihah for your Wan, okay?

Love,
Mommy

Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
~Quran (55 : 26-28)

"My love,

One day, this will perish too.
But I do hope a moment like this will stay in your hearts for as long as you breathe.

Above all my love, I pray one day you two will be among the ones,

'..... whose faces will be glowing. Looking towards their Lord.' (Quran 75: 22-23)

Love always,
Mommy."
