To love, to share. To learn from one another. To remind ourselves children are amazing gifts, beautiful amanah from Allah.

For every moment photographed, love is spread.

Alhamdulillah, for a chance waking up to beautiful little people, spoiling us with their big, big LOVE.

These are visual stories of our children. One week at a time. In shaa Allah.

week 39 | WINDOW LIGHT (20 - 27 September 2015)

Current addiction. 'Moodling'.

Izlynne

A spot which you love doing all the things you love doing. By the window; because the light comes in and gives you the perfect shadow, sometimes hues. It could be just a matter of paper chasing blown by the blast from the fan,  but you love it.

You are content, carefree, untroubled and satisfied. That's all I want to know.

Amongst your Wan's best advice to me was "Live in a room full of lights"
...and fresh air. I think he was speaking to me both literally & metaphorically.

Beautiful morning at Nenek's. And your were enjoying your time drawing on Auntie Jeda's Ipad.
Our plan for more time outdoors back in my home-town didn't quite materialise due to haze.  But than it's okay. We had so much fun indoor, and your uncles and aunties had been spoiling you and Kakak, fulfilling your every requests. And Nenek had been showering you two with so much love and good food, sigh how I wish we could stay longer...

Sometimes, in any given situation, I always think that bottling up my emotions is always the right thing to do. I have so much of it bottled up that sometimes I think my heart is going to 'explode' soon, which is quite the wrong thing and what makes it worse is when I don't do anything about it. I think I just don't have the right channel for it.

Watching you and your sisters is always a favourite thing of mine. I guess, everything that is bottled up inside me just drain away. You know that feeling, when you open a bottle of that icy cold Snapple and drink heartily; and how your thirst goes away and leaving you with that satisfaction of being refreshed - that is how you and your sisters make me, everytime I watch you three.

Just by watching you three easily makes me drift away with all your antiques and emotions that sometimes make me laugh my heart out.

Thank you Hope, Strength and Faith - for letting me go through each day; always with a new perspective of life. I learn a lot from you.

2 pm.

I don't want to miss a single 2pm. Soon, everything is going to change. I might have to stare at the empty wall.

I might not be able to hear your laughters when something funny appear on TV, your constant bickerings when you fight over silly things, your cute giggles everytime you have something exciting to share with me, your groans everytime you push away your veggies that I try to 'smuggle' inside your lunch - it is going to change.

Time does not pass- it seems to glide and fly away like those dandelions everytime the wind blows them - when we are together.

I want to have more 2pm's with you.

2 p.m., Saturday.
Leisurely lunch.

O My Daughter,

I pray that the verses I share here will be first and foremost a reminder that I will take heed, in my heart and in my actions. And they will be the ones that stay in you and your little sister as you two grow up, ameen.

[And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.
O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination.
And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.
And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys."
~Quran, Surah Luqman : 16-19

And may Allah make your dad and me be wonderful parents to you two, and our littlest Nur Jannah.

If a person is living out his destiny, he knows everything he needs to know.
There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve :
the fear of failure.
~ The Achemist

Once in a while.

Izlynne

My favourite past time is to watch you take your noon nap and when the hard light quietly seeps through the curtains dancing on your snoozing face.

When the negotiation for one more bedtime story failed, you slowly retreated under the duvet.

"Sorry again, Khalish. We need to wake up earlier tomorrow."
"No worry, mommy. Just switch off the lights. We may read more books after school."

Yet, five minutes later, I found you with a book on your lap and a flashlight in your hand.

"Sorry, mommy. The book crossed my mind each time I closed my eyes. Too distracted to sleep."
"No worry, Khalish. Just read to both of us."

I ended up photographing the scene, too.
